Kevin McQuillan joined the firm as an associate in March 2019. Mr. McQuillan’s appellate and litigation practice focuses on municipal issues and professional liability, including medical and legal malpractice. He represents individuals, corporations, and governments at all levels of state and federal courts. Prior to joining the firm, he defended clients against allegations of unconstitutional conduct and obtained dismissal before trial on more than two dozen occasions. Moreover, Mr. McQuillan’s appellate advocacy lead to multiple published opinions favorable to his clients.
Mr. McQuillan received his Juris Doctor degree from Wayne State University Law School. While in law school, he received the Dean’s Scholar Award for academic achievement; won Wayne Law’s Arthur Neef Moot Court Competition in Detroit; competed in the New York Law School Wagner Labor & Employment Law Moot Court Competition in New York City; coached fellow law students in the Elon University Billings, Exum & Frye National Moot Court Competition in Greensboro, North Carolina; and competed in the American Bar Association’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition in Washington, D.C. Mr. McQuillan also served as an intern and law clerk for Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Robert J. Colombo Jr. Prior to law school, Mr. McQuillan received his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Michigan.
